Highly Commended at Brake's Annual Fleet Safety Awards!

Road Safety initiatives devised by Pertemps Driver Training in partnership with ‘The Honest Truth’ were highly commended at Brake’s annual Fleet Safety Awards last month. The awards recognise the achievements of those working to reduce the number of crashes involving at-work drivers, bringing together fleet operators and suppliers to celebrate and share best practice in managing road risk.

Brake, the road safety charity, welcomes entries for its awards from all over the world from all types of organisations running any type or size of fleet, and from companies that provide services to improve road safety.

Samantha Earl, General Manager of Pertemps Driver Training, said: “Our road safety schemes are carefully planned and implemented in partnership with a wide range of organisations to make a very real difference on our roads. It’s therefore a great honour to have them recognised by road safety charities as it means all of our work has been worthwhile and that they are having a positive impact on driver behaviours.”

Judges at the awards were highly impressed with recent initiatives including the partnership project The Honest Truth and Pertemps’ programme for young drivers, Drive Another Day.

Samantha Earl explained: “Working with partners including the police, fire and rescue and local authorities, Pertemps is tackling road safety in a proactive and preventative way. It’s our belief that we are doing far more than just delivering driver training; we are continually looking to find new ways of making our road networks safer for all drivers.”
